Description
(Ordre des Palmes Académiques). Instituted March, 17th, 1808. A lot of two miniature Orders of the Academic Palms, Type III (1866 - 1955), consisting of:
1. A miniature Order of the Academic Palms with Brilliance, constructed of silver with gemstones, consisting of two palm leaf branches in a wreath formation, decorated with thirty small old european-cut diamonds and five similar cut rubies, suspended from a miniature sized purple ribbon, unmarked, measuring 13.1 mm (w) x 20.1 mm (l), weighing 1.83 grams, in very fine condition.
2. A miniature Order of the Academic Palms with Brilliance, constructed of silver with gemstones, consisting of two palm leaf branches in a wreath formation, decorated with three small old european-cut diamonds and five similar cut rubies, suspended from a miniature sized purple ribbon, unmarked, measuring 10.4 mm (l) x 17.0 mm (l), weighing 1.22 grams, in very fine condition.
