1. France, III Republic. Morocco Commemorative Medal. In silver, obverse centerpiece bearing the left profile of a helmeted woman's bust surrounded by the inscription RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE, reverse centerpiece bearing the images of an infantry rifle, a naval anchor, two military banners and lances surmounted by the inscription MAROC, on original green and white striped ribbon, including two silver clasps awarded for service in Morocco and Casablanca, inclusive of laurel-crescent suspension 52 mm (h) x 30mm (w), evidence of aging, very fine condition.
Footnote: The Morocco Commemorative Medal was instituted on 22 July 1909 and was awarded to soldiers participating in the Second Franco-Moroccan War.

Instituted in 1885. In silver, the obverse shows Marianne in the center with inscription REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE, the reverse lists battles from the conflict, on multi-striped period ribbon, inclusive of ball suspension 35.2 mm (h) x 31.2 mm (w), in extremely fine condition.
Footnote: The Tonkin Medal was instituted on 6 September 1885 and awarded to all the French soldiers and sailors who had taken part in the battles of the Tonkin and the Sino-French War between 1883 and 1885.

Obverse bearing the left profile of a helmeted woman with the inscription RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE, reverse bearing a world map resting on an anchor across a trophy of arms, on a white and blue ribbon, including clasp awarded for service in Morocco, inclusive of ball suspension 33.8 mm (h) x 28.7 mm (w), very fine condition.
Footnote: The Colonial Medal was created on July 26, 1893. Approximately one million medals were awarded from its inception to 1962 when it was replaced by the Overseas Medal. It was awarded for participation in military campaigns in French colonies or protectorates.

In silver, obverse bearing the left profile of a helmeted woman with the inscription RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE, reverse bearing a world map resting on an anchor, on a blue original ribbon, including a clasp awarded for service in Saudi Arabia, inclusive of ball suspension 33.8 mm (h) x 28.7 mm (w), extremely fine condition.
Footnote: The Overseas Medal is a commemorative or campaign medal issued to members of the French Armed Forces and other nations in assistance to French troops for participating in operations outside national territory. It replaced the French Colonial Medal on 6 June 1962.

In bronze, obverse bearing a three headed elephant surrounded by the inscription RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE, reverse bearing a wreath of laurels and oak leaves surrounded by the inscription CORPS EXPÉDITIONNAIRE FRANÇAIS D'EXTRÊME-ORIENT, inclusive of serpent suspension 54 mm (h) x 36 mm (w), on original ribbon, extremely fine condition.
Footnote: The Indochina Campaign commemorative medal was a French military decoration established on 1 August 1953 by decree 53-722 to recognize participation in the Indochina War by the members of the French Far East Expeditionary Corps, regular and reserve.
