France, Republic. A Lot of Four Decorations

1. (Ordre national de la Légion d’honneur, chevalier, Troisième République, type III)  National Order of the Legion of Honour, Knight Grade, Third Republic, Type III  – with white and green enamels,  including a green enamelled wreath suspension. Obverse gilt medallion with right-facing bust of Marianne, circumscribed “REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE 1870”; reverse gilt medallion with crossed flags and inscription “HONNEUR ET PATRIE”. Marked with a boars head on the 6 o'clock tassels denoting French manufacture post 1838 and 800 silver fineness. Some contact on white enamels. On a full-length original red ribbon.

2. (Croix de guerre 1914-1918 ), War Cross 1914-1916, – Bronze. Obverse central medallion with bust of Marianne and inscription “REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE”; reverse dated “1914–1916”. Mounted on a period original green ribbon with seven vertical red stripes.

3. (Médaille de Sainte-Hélène) Saint Helena Medal - 1857 – Bronze, Obverse with profile of Napoleon I and inscription “NAPOLÉON I EMPEREUR”; reverse inscribed “CAMPAGNES DE 1792 A 1815 / A SES COMPAGNONS DE GLOIRE SA DERNIERE PENSÉE / STE HÉLÈNE / 5 MAI 1821”. Period original green ribbon with red stripes.

4. (Médaille de Sainte-Hélène) Saint Helena Medal, Miniature – Bronze, 18.3 mm (width) x 33.8 mm (height) inclusive of its crown suspension, identical in design to the full-size medal, on a miniature green ribbon with red stripes.

Light contact marks overall. Very fine to near extremely fine.
