In bronze, square-cross medal on two crossed swords, obverse bearing the profile of Marianne facing right surrounded by the inscription REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE, reverse bearing 1914 1917, on the original ribbon with one bronze star (for brigade or regimental level), evidence of mark on obverse cross, extremely fine condition.
