In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

In silvered bronze, marker marked "OA" within a triangle and marked "BRONZE" on the edge, engraved "CHOTARD HUBERT 1935" on the reverse, measuring 33 mm in diameter, scattered silvering wear and surface wear, edge nicks, silvered bronze locomotive clasp affixed to its original ribbon, fine.
Footnote: The Medal of Honour for the Railways was created by decree on August 19, 1913, as a reward for thirty years of service. It was originally meant to reward, depending on the quality and length of time calculated in calendar years, the services rendered by French agents and labourers and to nationals of the French Union or protectorates, in service with the railroads. On December 17, 1936, a separate medal, the Medal of Honour of the Railroads of Overseas France, was instituted for all colonial railways except those of Indochina. The Medal of Honour for the Railways was originally awarded in one grade, a Silver Medal, with the Gold Medal being added on March 13, 1919 and the Bronze Medal in 1953.
