Spain, Spanish State. An Order of Cisneros, Grand Officer’s Set

(Orden de Cisneros). Instituted March 8, 1944 by General Francisco Franco.  A Grand Officer’s Set, comprising a neck badge, a silver gilt and red enamelled Maltese cross with large ball finials, five silver gilt arrows in each quadrant, the obverse medallion features a black enamelled bird with a yellow sun behind its head, the reverse plain with two large rivets, measures 47.7 mm (w) x 51.8 mm (h),  worn on a long full neck ribbon, minor enamel imperfections, extremely fine condition.

The Breast Star, in silver, silver gilt and enamels, featuring a Maltese cross with large ball finials, five silver gilt arrows in each quadrant, the obverse medallion features a black enamelled bird with a yellow sun behind its head, the reverse offers a vertical pin flanked by dual stays, unmarked, measures 74.1 mm (w) x 76 mm (h), weighs 71.65 grams, enamels intact, light gilt wear, extremely fine condition. 

Accompanied by a miniature boutonniere of the order, in silver gilt and enamels, extremely fine. 

Contained in its original case of issue, a hardshell brown leatherette exterior, the interior silk and a black velvet removable medal bed, measures 140 mm (w) x 240 mm (l) x 45 mm (d), functioning hinge and clasp, light wear and scuffs to exterior, in near extremely fine condition.
