Germany, Wehrmacht. A Spanish Volunteer Medal, with Issue Package, by Deschler & Sohn

 (Erinnerungsmedaille für die spanischen Freiwilligen im Kampf gegen den Bolschewismus). Constructed of gilded zink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing two raised shields overlaid by Heer and Falange insignia, in turn overlaying a sword, topped by a Stahlhelm, and situated above a swastika flanked by clusters of laurel leaves, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “DIVISION ESPAÑOLA DE VOLUNTARIOS EN RUSIA” (“DIVISION OF SPANISH VOLUNTEERS IN RUSSIA”), situated above an Iron Cross topped by laurel and oak leaf branches, the suspension loop maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “1” for Deschler & Sohn, Munich, measuring 32.45 mm in diameter, weighing 12.9 grams, accompanied by its original Deschler-issued paper package, demonstrating total loss of finish to the base metal, in very fine condition.
