In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

(Luftwaffe Doppelfernrohr). A well-preserved set of Luftwaffe Flak binoculars, constructed of a two-segment non-magnetic metal alloy casing which retains the vast majority of its original khaki-tan paint, riveted with central tracks for attachment to a mount, with adjustable eyepiece tubes situated at 45 degree angles and retaining intact ocular lenses, with prism housings and optical barrels connecting to intact objective lenses with crosshair targets visible, with a functional rotating dial situated adjacent to the left eyepiece connecting to an internal optical filter selector with four settings, the right side bearing marked of “D.F.” (Doppelfernrohr), “10 x 80” indicating 10 x magnification through 80 mm lenses, and a manufacturer’s code of “DKL” indicating production by Josef Schneider & Co., Kreuznach, minor issues consistent with age and field use are evident, and include some chipping to the paint, flecking to the lenses (which remain fully sharp and functional), and the loss of the knob on top of the right ocular lens which controls the interpupillary distance adjustment, a mid-war, field-used set of binoculars most commonly issued to Flak 88 crews, in better than very fine condition.
