WWII Imperial Japanese Officer's Visor Cap
WWII Imperial Japanese Officer's Visor Cap - This fine quality cap has a row of red piping along the top edge, with the body of the cap fabricated from brown wool, featuring the classic high peak. It has a red wool band around its circumference, fronted by a bronze gilt star. Each side has two ventilation holes between the piping and wool band, all with brown eyelets. The visor is black vulcanfibre with a black patent leather chinstrap lying across the top, attached to gilt buttons on either side displaying cherry blossoms. The underside of the visor is synthetic and finished in black. The sweatband is tan leather and dyed black on its upper, the ends held together with a silvered eyelet, the interior lined in black silk. Overall, it measures 235 mm x 270 mm x 125 mm in height. It exhibits wear and tearing in the dome of the silk lining, light wear on the edge of the sweatband, light soiling evident on the wool band on the left side, better than very fine.
