WWI 164th Infantry Battalion "Halton and Dufferin Battalion" Cap Badge

In pickled brass, unmarked, 39.2 mm x 45.4 mm, intact lugs, better than extremely fine. Footnote: The Battalion was raised in the Counties of Halton and Dufferin, Ontario with mobilization headquarters at Orangeville under the authority of G.O. 151, December 2, 1915. The Battalion sailed April 11, 1917 under the command of Lieutenant-Colnel P. Domville with a strength of 26 officers and 710 other ranks. In England, the Battalion was absorbed into the 8th Reserve Battalion. It was disbanded September 15, 1920.
