Prussia, Kingdom. A Prussian Pickelhaube Plate
(Pickelhaube Insigne). Constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse consisting of a Hohenzollern eagle clutching an orb and sceptre, overlaid by the monogram of Frederick the Great and a banner bearing an inscription of Mit Gott für König und Vaterland (With God for King and Fatherland), the reverse with two attachment prongs intact, unmarked, measuring 123 mm (w) x 110 mm (h), weighing 55.7 grams, minor loss of gilt evident, in better than very fine condition.
