Germany, Luftwaffe. A Lot of Letters and Documents, with Signatures, from Leutnant Heinz Deutsch to John R. Angolia

A lot paper items forwarded by Luftwaffe Knight’s Cross recipient Leutnant Heinz Deutsch, including a typewritten German-language letter to noted militaria reference guide author John R. Angolia, responding to an earlier inquiry from Angolia and enclosing a typewritten service history of Fallschirm-Sturmgeschütz-Brigade XII with a map of operational area (both included in this lot), dated 22 September 1976 and closing with Deutsch’s handwritten signature, also accompanied byEnglish-language letter to Angolia, approving of Angolia’s private museum displays and mentioning an accompanying typewritten biographical sketch, also accompanied by, the initial letter dated 1 March 1979, accompanied by facsimiles of Deutsch’s award documents for the 1939 Iron Cross in both II and I Classes, the Black Grade Wound Badge, and the Luftwaffe Fallschirmjäger Badge, a fascinating example of correspondence between a Knight’s Cross recipient and militaria pioneer in extremely fine condition.
