The Most Distinguished Order of the Bath, Companions breast badge, in Gold and enamels, complete with Gold ribbon bar, hallmarks for 1881, slight enamel flaking on reverse, about very fine; Afghanistan Medal, clasp PEIWAR KOTAL, officially engraved: LT. COLONEL EDWARD TANNER. Nearly very fine. Both contained within period custom made, fitted case of issue, by Collingwood, London. Case showing age and wear, very good condition. Tanner, Maj.-Gen. The King?s (Liverpool) Regt; commanded regiment at the storming of Peiwar Khotal, Afghan Campaign, 1878-80. Died 8 March 1916. Sold with copies of Service Records.
