Serbia, Kingdom. A Flag Decoration of the Order of the White Eagle, c. 1916
In bronze gilt, a possibly unique decoration likely attached to the flag, of French manufacture, presenting a central white enamelled double headed eagle with central Serbian symbolism in red and white enamels, encircled by a delicately patterned ring and surmounted by a large crown, the reverse mirrors the obverse, measures 58.3mm (w) x 91.0mm (h), weighs 49.7 grams, enamels intact, scattered gilt wear, a lovely decoration in near extremely fine condition.
