In silver gilt, a ball-tipped enameled red Maltese Cross, with gilded clusters of crossed arrows in each quadrant, obverse centre featuring an enameled black and yellow time of period Spanish coat of arms, depicting plain reverse, measuring 51.24 mm (w) x 56.20 mm (h - inclusive of integral ball), with ornament loop suspension presenting strong oxidation, light contact, extremely fine.
Footnote: The Order of Cisneros was instituted in Spain by General Francisco Franco on March 8, 1944. It was created after the end of the Spanish Civil War to reward those who served Franco during the war, and collaborated on the establishment of the new government.
