Dress Wing: in bronze gilt, measuring 53 mm (w) x 15.5 mm (h), horizontal pinback, light contact on the reverse; in its Presentation Case: in silver, Royal Flying Corps insignia with the inscription "PER ARDUA AD ASTRA" above the interlocking initials "IM", flanked by the date "17-2-18" (February 17, 1918) and "Gyl." in italic script on the lid, royal blue silk lining on the inside lid and medal bed, marked "SILVER" and maker marked "JB&Co" (J. Boseck & Co., an Anglo-Indian firm in Kolkata, India), along with contact marks and a few tiny dents on the bottom, measuring 75.5 mm (w) x 35.5 mm (l) x 13.5 mm (h). Extremely fine.
