Co747n1structed of bronze, on loop for suspension from a replacement ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a raised German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, within a laurel wreath, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE IM ZOLLGRENZSCHUTZ” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN BORDER PROTECTION”), unmarked, measuring 42.50 mm (w) x 47.04 mm (h), weighing 22.5 grams, accompanied by a miniature award of identical construction and composition, unmarked, measuring 16.08 mm (w) x 19.20 mm (h), weighing 3.0 grams, the large decoration features a portion of its original ribbon with an embroidered cypher, in overall near extremely fine condition.
