What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

Twenty-Two Percent (22%) of the Hammer Price

Germany, Luftwaffe. A Pair of Fallschirmjäger Trousers

(Fallschirmjäger Hose). A pair of Luftwaffe Fallschirmjäger trousers, constructed of field-grey cotton twill. The waistband of the trousers features an adjustable integrated belt, constructed of light brown canvas, with one end emanating from the right and meeting a magnetic metal buckle with three prongs on the left. The fly closes with five vertically-arranged black bakelite buttons meeting an equal number of reinforced buttonholes on the opposite side. The trousers features two pockets at the front, opening with diagonal flaps with reinforced buttonholes meeting black bakelite buttons, while the back features two pockets with horizontal flaps and identical button arrangements. The left leg features an additional large pocket with a horizontal flap and reinforced buttonhole meeting a black bakelite button. The ankle of each leg has a vertical slit, each with a reinforced buttonhole meeting a black bakelite button, as well as an integrated cotton ribbon for enclosure. The interior features a partial white cotton liner through the belt area, bearing a partially-legible Reichsbetriebsnummer code beginning with “0/0510”. The liner bears an integrated cotton loop for handing the trousers when not in use. They measure approximately 430 mm across the waist, with an inseam of 750 mm and an overall length of 1060 mm. Some of the buttons display evidence of having been repaired and replaced, and there is minor material fatigue evident throughout. They are in an overall better than very fine condition.
