(Silberne Zivilverdienstmedaille). Instituted 20 June 1892 by King Wilhelm II. (1891-1892 issue). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension, the obverse with a rightward-facing profile of King Wilhelm II, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with a central inscription of “DEM VERDIENSTE” (“FOR MERIT”), within an oak leaf wreath, the obverse maker marked “K. SCHWENZER”, measuring 28.08 mm in diameter, weighing 13.1 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
