A 1914 Issue Mecklenburg-Schwerin Military Merit Cross; a cross pattée in fire gilt war alloy; the obverse pebbled, with “FF” inscribed in the entre, a raised royal crown on the top arm, and “1914” on the bottom arm; the reverse inscribed “Gaal Wolfsburg”, with a vertical slender banjo style pinback, a sheet metal hinge, and a round wire catch; slightly vaulted; measuring 41.35 mm (w) x 41.10 mm (h); weighing 16.4 grams; in extremely fine condition.
