What's a max bid?

Germany, Heer. An Army Medical Personnel Officer’s Overseas Side Cap

(Feldmütze). A well-preserved Second War period German Heer (Army) Medical Officer’s M38 pattern overseas side cap, constructed of high-quality field-grey wool, with fold-down scallops to the front and side, the crown and front edges of the scalloped side panels feature embroidered silver aluminum piping (indicating the rank of Officer), the front of the cap features a machine-embroidered Wehrmacht-style eagle, constructed of silver aluminum thread over a dark-green backing, hand sewn to the cap, directly below is a dark blue embroidered soutache (indicating Medical Personnel), sewn to the cap in a triangular fashion, with a national cockade, consisting of a field-grey backer, with white and black threads around a red felt core, the interior of the cap is lined with a champagne-coloured rayon liner, with a light-brown leather sweatband around the entire cap, marked in black ink with the name Dr. Hurler on both sides of the sweatband, under the left side of the sweatband is the maker’s label KH sewn onto the lining, the cap measures 30 cm (w) x 12.5 cm (h) when folded, absent an holes, very mild soiling, and in otherwise extremely fine condition.
