What's a max bid?

The Friedrich August Medal in Silver certificate is named to Unteroffizier (NCO) Willy Max Friedrich Mahnecke of the 14th Royal Saxon Infantry Regiment No. 179, 10th Company. Dated to October 8, 1916 and signed in pencil by the commanding General of the 19th (2nd Royal Saxon) Army Corps, General of the Cavalry Maximilian von Laffert (1855-1917), a recipient of the Pour le Mérite. Measuring 206 mm (w) x 305 mm (h), presenting multiple folding creases, two punched holes, light overall creasing, and light scuffing of the edges, remains better than fine.
