A Luftwaffe Soldbuch to the 11th Fallschirmjäger Regiment - Named to Eddy Ottawa LW Soldbuch, 24 pages, worn condition. Footnote: On the inside cover is posted a small notice which reads: Staff Sergeant Ottawa does not have a photo because his unit has been engaged in combat since 1944 and has not had the chance to insert one. Signed by his company leader. The soldbuch was issued on March 1st, 1945. Ottawa was part of the 11th Fallschirmjäger Regiment. He was born on September 30, 1919 in Vienna and worked as a Barber before the War.  His regiment made up a part of the 4th Fallschirmjäger Division, which was formed in Northern Italy in 1943 and was intended to face the Allied forces advancing from the south of that country. In 1942 he was admitted to a field hospital for an unspecified organic disease. In 1942 he was awarded the Eastern Front Medal, and in March, 1945 he was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd Class.
