Germany, Wehrmacht. A Spain Cross, Bronze Grade, Owner-Attributed Example by C.E. Juncker

 (Spanienkreuz in Bronze). Constructed of bronze, consisting of a vaulted Maltese Cross with crossed swords piercing the centrepiece, the obverse with pebbled arms joined through the quadrants by Luftwaffe eagles clutching mobile swastikas, the reverse with a wide block hinge and tapering vertical pinback meeting a rounded catch, bearing a central hand-engraved owner’s surname of “KLEIN”, otherwise unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of a primary award piece produced by C.E. Juncker, Berlin, measuring 56.40 mm (w) x 55.96 mm (h), weighing 30.5 grams, demonstrating some loss of finish, an owner-attributed example in near extremely fine condition.
