Spain, Spanish State. A 1946 National Healthcare Plan Report, with Presentation Case and Emiliano Berzosa Dedication

An exceptionally well-presented and limited copy of a report on the beginnings of Obra Sindical 18 de Julio (Union Work 18th of July), a healthcare organization established in the early years of the Franco regime under the auspices of the Spanish Trade Union Organization, constructed of a card stock binding with a maroon leather exterior liner and gilt text on the cover and spine, the interior retaining all 191 paginated interior pages detailing the evolution of Spanish healthcare, supplemented by charts, graphs, and an array of black-and-white images, the interior notably featuring portraits of Francisco Franco, José Antonio Girón, and Agustín Aznar, each protected by a fully-intact cellophane liner, the cover featuring a lengthy handwritten dedication from Emiliano Berzosa, President of the Valladolid Provincial Council, published in Valladolid in 1946, measuring 18 cm (w) x  24.5 cm (h), concealed within its original presentation case, constructed of a wooden frame with a faux maroon leather liner, the interior featuring a depressed maroon rayon lid and bed, closing with dual functional gilded bronze snap buttons, unmarked, measuring 24 cm (w) x 31 cm (l) x 5 cm (h), with minor material fatigue visible to the bottom of the case’s exterior, in overall extremely fine condition.
