A 1914-15 Star, bronze gilt, full size, reverse impressed 63655 PTE A.A. MORGAN, 4/CAN:INF:, original ribbon, areas of gilt wear, very fine.
A British War Medal, silver, full size, rim impressed 63655 PTE. A.A. MORGAN. 4-CAN. INF., original ribbon, areas of wear to silvered finish, very fine.
A Victory Medal, bronze gilt, full size, rim impressed 63655 PTE. A.A. MORGAN. 4-CAN. INF, original ribbon, areas of gilt wear, very fine.
A 23rd Infantry Battalion “Montreal Battalion” Cap Badge, in browning brass, two lugs on reverse, no markings, measures 48.6mm (w) x 46.2mm (h), light wear, very fine.
Footnote: Archibald A. Morgan had three years of experience serving with the 3rd Gloucester Rifle Corps prior to enlisting in the war on November 19, 1914 with the 23rd Reserve Battalion. He was taken on strength on May 23, 1915. He died on June 15, 1915 at the No. 4 Casualty Clearing Station, of shell wounds to the legs and a fractured femur.
