A British War Medal, in silver, full size, rim impressed 670006 CPL. W.G. FLINT. 13-CAN.INF., minor wear, dark patina, light wear, near extremely fine.
A Victory Medal, bronze gilt, full size, rim impressed 670006 CPL. W.G. FLINT. 13-CAN.INF., light wear, very fine.
An Honorable Services pin, in silver, numbered C38951, vertical pin on reverse, very fine.
A For Services at the Front pin, in bronze and enamels, numbered 200066, screwpost on reverse, enamels intact, very fine.
Footnote: Walter George Flint was born in Surrey, England in February 1889. He was employed as a miller and was residing in Toronto with his wife when he enlisted on March 20, 1916.
Flint suffered a severe shrapnel wound to the right leg on April 11, 1917, likely while serving at Vimy Ridge. He was treated in the 2nd Can. Sty. Hospital in Outreau. He was invalided to England and posted to the Quebec Regt. Depot.
In November 1917, he was confirmed in the rank of corporal. He was also diagnosed with Gonnorhea that month. Michael was demobilized in March 1919.
