Description

(Орден "Свети Александър"). Instituted 1881. Military Division. (1886-1948 Issued). Superbly executed Star of German manufacture (likely C.F. Zimmermann), consisting of eight-pointed Silver star consisting of arms set with 795 natural, rose cut diamonds, two Gold swords pierce the center, the obverse medallion features a stylized inscription with the name of the order on red enamels, surrounding ring in white enamel inscribed by motto СЪ НАМИ БОГЪ (God with us), the reverse offers a custom fitted replacement Gold pin with securing prong, the star measures 83.85 mm (w) x 83.39 mm (h), weighs 64.53 grams, enamels intact, of the highest quality manufacture, a superb star of highest rarity, in extremely fine condition.

Footnote: There is one almost identical Star in the Bulgarian National History Museum, with silver pin, marked "C.F. Zimmermann".
