In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Illustrating a large photo of Lieutenant-Colonel William A. Bishop above the text, inscribed "LT.-COLONEL W.A. BISHOP, V.C., D.S.O., M.C., D.F.C. / NECESSITY is the Mother of Invention, and at the beginning of this war the necessity for better aeroplanes was strongly felt, with the result that in four years of war they progressed to a higher degree of development then they would otherwise have done in ten years. They were undoubtedly a tremendous factor in the winning of the war, but I am certain that their real triumph lies in commercial aviation. I trust that every reader of "The People's War Book" may be inspired to nobler deeds in the interest of Humanity and Civilization. Sincerely," followed by the original signature of Bishop in black ink, with the following inscription below "Publisher's Note: -- Colonel Bishop is known as the World's Ace of Aces. He is officially credited with bringing down 72 enemy planes, which is the highest official record. Unofficially his record is over 100 planes. The above genuine Autograph by Colonel Bishop is indeed a Souvenir of the Great World War to be treasured for years to come. The hand that signed the above name is the Hand that Downed a Hundred Huns.", the text and photo printed in black ink on a light yellow paper stock, 171 mm (w) x 250 mm (h), extremely fine.
