In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
In bronze, reverse engraved HARRY BRIGGS, measures 38.4 mm (w) x 44.8 mm (h), with original ribbon and clasp, light wear, suspension has been re affixed, in near very fine condition.
Footnote: Harry Briggs, of Pueblo, Colorado was a private in Company C of the Second Infantry Regiment. Following the calling up of volunteers, the company was selected as one for active service, and on May 1, 1898 was mustered into United States service as Company C of the First Colorado Infantry Regiment, U.S. Volunteers, for the period of two years active service.
The medal and a certificate were awarded to every officer and enlisted man that served during the Spanish-American War of Philippine Insurrection in a United States Volunteer organization credited to Colorado. This would have included members of the First Infantry who served in the Philippines and the First Battery of Field Artillery that served in the United States. It would have excluded service in the regular army or navy. The medals were manufactured by Joslin and Park of Denver. An estimated 1,200 men in this unit were eligible for the medal. All medals were apparently issued with the recipient's name engraved on the reverse and came in a presentation case containing the name of the manufacturer on the inside cover.
