Cuba, Republic. A Group of Four Long-Service and Commemorative Medals

1. (Medalla Policía Nacional Revolucionaria 30 Años) Policía Nacional Revolucionaria Thirty Years Medal, gilt metal, obverse displaying the emblem of the Policía Nacional Revolucionaria with laurel wreath and “30”, reverse showing the national coat of arms with the inscription “REPÚBLICA DE CUBA – POLICÍA NACIONAL REVOLUCIONARIA”, suspended from its original light-blue ribbon with white edge stripes and complete with its ribbon bar, measuring 32.1 mm x 37.2 mm inclusive of suspension ring.

2. (Medalla Departamento de Seguridad del Estado 30 Años) Departamento de Seguridad del Estado Thirty Years Medal, bronze-gilt, obverse bearing the emblem of the Departamento de Seguridad del Estado with star and shield motif over “30”, reverse inscribed “REPÚBLICA DE CUBA – DEPARTAMENTO DE SEGURIDAD DEL ESTADO”, suspended from its original red ribbon with white edges and complete with its ribbon bar, measuring 32.1 mm x 37.5 mm inclusive of suspension ring.

3. (Medalla XXV Aniversario BON 189) Twenty-Fifth Anniversary BON 189 Medal, bronze, obverse showing crossed rifles before the Roman numeral XXV over banner inscribed “BON 189”, reverse bearing the crest of the Milicias Nacionales Revolucionarias (MNR) with wreath and star device, suspended from its original red, white, and blue ribbon and complete with its ribbon bar, measuring 32.3 mm x 38.4 mm inclusive of suspension ring.

4. (Medalla Constructor de Obras Nucleares) Constructor de Obras Nucleares Distinction, bronze-gilt, obverse showing an atom symbol above radiating lines and industrial motifs, reverse inscribed “CONSTRUCTOR DE OBRAS NUCLEARES” within a laurel wreath, suspended from its original blue ribbon with yellow central stripe and complete with its ribbon bar, measuring 30.1 mm x 35.3 mm inclusive of suspension ring.

Footnote: The Policía Nacional Revolucionaria and Estado Security Thirty-Year Medals were awarded to personnel who completed three decades of continuous service within their respective branches, reflecting long-term commitment to Cuba’s internal security structure. The BON 189 Twenty-Fifth Anniversary Medal commemorates twenty-five years of Milicias Nacionales Revolucionarias Battalion 189, a formation established during the early revolutionary decades to provide organized militia support to the Cuban state. The Constructor de Obras Nucleares Distinction recognises civilian and military personnel involved in the construction, maintenance, and technological development of Cuba’s nuclear-related infrastructure projects, including the long-running atomic energy initiatives linked to Soviet and later Russian technical cooperation.
