A Gold Medal, Gold filled, presenting the symbolism of the 91st Athletic Association, plain reverse marked GF, measures 32.5 mm (w) x 43.8 mm (d), weighs 14.9 grams, light wear, worn on a small segment of yellow and red ribbon, very fine.
A Bronze Medal, in bronze, presenting the symbolism of the 91st Athletic Association, plain reverse, measures 32.5 mm (w) x 43.8 mm (d), light wear, worn on a small segment of yellow and red ribbon, very fine.
A Ring, in white metal alloy, featuring the cat’s head on the top with 91 on each edge, plain band, very fine.
Contained in blue cardboard boxes with handwritten note denoting conferral for the 440 x Ladies Relay, dated March 10, 1951.
Footnote: Since 1908, the 91st has been supporting Athletics in Ontario, Canada and around the world. The Hamilton Indoor games, is the oldest running track and field meet in North America, and dates back to 1908 when the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders of Canada (Princess Louise’s) founded the first meet. The Games quickly achieved international status and in 1925 featured Finland’s legendary Paavo Nurmi. The meet has been held annually ever since (except during war years and recently the global COVID-19 pandemic).
