Footnote: Henry Geoffrey Malcolmson (C515) was appointed a Pilot Officer, Non-Permanent, on the General List, No.11 (Army Cooperation) Squadron on May 15, 1935. He qualified for his Pilots’ Flying Badge and was promoted to Flying Officer on July 15, 1936. Malcolmson attended summer camps at RCAF Station, Sea Island in 1936, 1937, 1938 and 1939. He was promoted to Squadron Leader on February 1, 1941. In the rank of Squadron Leader, he was Chief Supervisory Officer at No. 5 Air Observers School in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1941 and 1942. He was posted to No. 2 Training Command on October 10, 1942, then transferred to No. 7 Air Observer School in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba on November 9, 1942 as Chief Supervisory Officer, where he was promoted to Wing Commander on December 15, 1942. He was transferred to No. 12 Service Flying Training School in Brandon, Manitoba on July 12, 1944 as its Wing Commander, documented in the Winnipeg Free Press of July 31, 1944, page 3. He was posted to No. 8 Release Centre on January 30, 1945 and resigned his commission on February 14, 1945. Wing Commander Henry Geoffrey Malcolmson died in Victoria, British Columbia on September 8, 1977, at the age of 73.
