(A.F. ADARE). In bronze, housed in its cardboard sleeve, accompanied by Buckingham Palace Letter and Condolence Card, very fine.
Footnote: 3232612 Private Alexander Frank Adare was born on August 27, 1888, the son of Elizabeth Adare of 27 Roblock Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, and the late William John Adare. He was a resident of Toronto when he was conscripted, signing his Particulars of Recruit Drafted Under Military Service Act 1917 Paper as a Private (3232612), Military Service Act (numbered 827675), with the 67th Depot Battery, Canadian Field Artillery in Toronto, on March 6, 1918, at the age of 29, naming his next-of-kin as his mother, Elizabeth Adare, stating that he was Single, that his religion was Methodist and that his trade was that of Contractor. Twenty-four days later, Private Adare was at Petawawa Camp when he "died of illness on March 30, 1918 while serving with the 67th Depot Battery, Canadian Field Artillery", at the age of 29. He is buried at Toronto Necropolis, Toronto, Ontario, Grave: A.166. His mother, Elizabeth Adare, received his medals, his Memorial Plaque and Scroll, along with his Memorial Cross.
