This excellent presentation of Private Isaac Harper’s war decorations and awards displays a certificate with a lithographic illustration of two attentive soldiers standing before a personified Britain, stating 63453 Private Isaac Harper 3rd Canadian Infantry Battalion served with honour and was disabled in the Great War. Honourably discharged on December 30th 1916”, alongside Harper’s awards. War and Victory Medal (63453 PTE I HARPER 3-CAN INF.) This group includes his regiment’s collar and cap badge; a 1914-15 Star Medal, a British War Medal, and a Victory Medal; a regiment number tag; two WW1 Wound Lines; a Silver War Badge; a Canadian WW1 For Service at the Front Lapel Pin; and a Canadian Legion Pin. The case with a modern frame measures 51 cm (h) x 76 cm (w) and is in mint condition.
Footnote: Private Isaac Harper fought in the 3rd Canadian Infantry Battalion of the Toronto Regiment. He was wounded on 24th May, 1915 at the Battle of Festubert and also on 28th November, 1915 on the Front Line Trenches. He was discharged on the 30th of December 1916.
