Footnote: John Wright was born on July 1, 1871 in Huddersfield, Yorkshire, England. He was a resident of Columbus, Ohio when he signed his Attestation Paper on November 14, 1917 at the Mobilization Centre in London, Ontario, at the age of 46, naming his next-of-kin as his wife, Zella Wright of Columbus (later of Niton, Isle of Wight, England), stating that he had thirteen years' service with a Field Artillery, that he was Married, that his religion was Church of England and that his trade was that of Cook. 2626949 Private John Wright, Canadian Forestry Corps died from disease attributed to his war service, on May 22, 1920, at the age of 48. He is buried in Bloomingdale (Brookside) Cemetery, Bloomingdale, Essex County, New York, Grave Reference: Lot 55 and is commemorated on page 554 of the First World War Book of Remembrance.
