Footnote: The Fort Garry Horse originated in Winnipeg on 15 April 15, 1912, as the 34th Regiment of Cavalry. The following year it was re-designated the 34th Fort Garry Horse on January 2, 1913, sending men to battalions of the Canadian Expeditionary Force, and The Fort Garry Horse following the First World War on March 15, 1920.
