Canada; Cap Badge (silvered bronze insignia, mounted to a bronze gilt base, unmarked, 32.2 mm x 45 mm, intact lugs and pin, scattered gilt wear on the base); two Collar Tabs (die-stamped bronze gilt, unmarked, 23.5 mm x 31.5 mm each, both lugs intact on each); two Shoulder Titles (bronze gilt, unmarked, 12 mm x 45.5 mm and 12.3 mm x 46 mm, both lugs intact on each); Small Button (gilt on metal, maker marked "UNITED CARR CANADA" on the reverse, 16.5 mm, intact loop); and Large Button (gilt on metal, maker marked "UNITED CARR CANADA" on the reverse, 22.7 mm, intact loop). Footnote: The Canadian Women's Army Corps was a non-combatant branch of the Canadian Army for women established during the Second World War, to release men from those non-combatant roles in the Canadian armed forces as part of expanding Canada's war effort. Most women served in Canada but some served overseas, most in roles such as secretaries, mechanics, cooks and so on. The CWAC was finally abolished as a separate corps in 1964, when women were fully integrated into the Canadian armed forces.[C:17]
