A 48th Highlanders of Canada Cap Badge, in Gold and red enamels, featuring crossed rifles surmounted by an eagles head with 48 HIGHLANDERS in the banner below, reverse with a vertical pin, measures 29.5 mm (w) x 36.0 mm (h), weighs 5.28 grams, in very fine condition.
A Canadian Royal Artillery Sweetheart Brooch, in 10K Gold and enamels, featuring a crowned cannon with inscription CANADA QUO FAS ET GLORIA DUCUNT, reverse with a horizontal pin, reverse has been engraved “Mother FROM Adair Dec. 1917”, pin marked 10K and ELLIS BROS denoting Toronto manufacture, measures 47.9 mm (w) x 27.0 mm (h), weighs 5.1 grams, in extremely fine condition.
A Township of Westmount Canada Medal for the Boer War, in bronze gilt and enamels, obverse featuring the inscription TOWN OF WESTMOUNT CANADA, reverse bearing the inscription PRESENTED BY THE TOWN OF WESTMOUNT J.W. MACTAGGART AS A RECOGNITION OF HIS SERVICES TO QUEEN & EMPIRE IN SOUTH AFRICA, with dates 1899 1900 beside the surmounting crown, measures 27.8 mm (w) x 32.6 mm (h), weighs 9.2 grams, surmounting integral ring is broken, light enamel damage on obverse, remains in near very fine condition.
