(Abzeichen und Insignien). A mixed lot of badges and insignia, including:
1. A Heer General’s summer uniform breast eagle, constructed of gilded bronze, the reverse with a clip hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a flat wire catch, with a stabilizer emanating from the wreath, unmarked, measuring 95 mm (w) x 35 mm (h), demonstrating near-total loss of gilt finish with some oxidation, in very fine condition.
2. An NS-Frauenschaft membership badge, constructed of bronze with multi-coloured enamels, horizontal pinback, the reverse marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo, measuring 40 mm (w) x 45 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
3. A 1939 Vienne Student Games commemorative badge, constructed of silvered zink, vertical pinback, the reverse maker marked “FRIED. ORTH WIEN”, also marked with an RZM code and maker code of “M9/242” for the same manufacturer, measuring 43 mm in diameter, demonstrating loss of finish and oxidation throughout, in fair condition.
4. A small medallion, constructed of aluminum, the obverse bearing a raised profile of Ferdinand von Zeppelin, flanked by name, circumscribed by an inscription of “ZIEL ERKANNT - KRAFT GESPANNT!” (“DESTINATION KNOWN - POWER INTENSE!”), the reverse bearing a raised depiction of an airship flying against a Mainz skyline, circumscribed by an inscription indicating that the medallion was issued to commemorate the 1908 flight of LZ. 4, measuring 32.91 mm in diameter, demonstrating some oxidation, in very fine condition.
