(Abzeichen und Insignien). A mixed lot of four badges and insignia, including:
1. A Russian Liberation Army sleeve shield, constructed of white cotton, the obverse bearing a printed unit insignia, unmarked, measuring 78 mm (w) x 78 mm (h), in unissued and extremely fine condition.
2. A 1938 Tyrolean Marksmanship Gau Achievement Badge, constructed of bronze, the obverse bearing a raised Tyrol-style German national eagle clutching a bullseye target overlaid by a mobile swastika, flanked by a date of “1938” and above an inscription of “TIROLER LANDESSCHIEßEN”, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 40 mm in diameter, weighing 17.9 grams, with some bending of the pinback evident, in near extremely fine condition.
3. A 1943 Tyrolean Marksmanship Gau Achievement Badge for Small Calibre Rifle Shooting, constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse bearing a raised Tyrolean-style German national eagle clutching a white enameled bullseye target overlaid by a mobile swastika, flanked by a date of “1943”, above an inscription of “KK-GEWEHR”, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 40 mm in diameter, with minor loss of finish and some flecking of enamels evident, in near extremely fine condition.
4. A 1944 Tyrolean Marksmanship Gau Champion’s Badge for Pistol Shooting, constructed of gilded and painted feinzink, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, around a central Tyrolean-style German national eagle clutching a bullseye target overlaid by a mobile swastika, flanked by a date of “1944”, above an inscription of “PISTOLE”, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 52 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
