(Fotoalbum). An extensive lot of award documents and photos from the estate of Leutnant der Reserve Dr. Ernst Hüttmann, including:
1. An award document for the Hamburg Hanseatic Cross, constructed of off-white paper stock with black ink, named to Hüttmann as a Leutnant der Reserve of Reserve-Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 201, issued in Hamburg on 29 July 1916, measuring 21 cm (w) x 33 cm (h), in very fine condition.
2. An award document for the 1914 Iron Cross I Class, named to Hüttmann as a member of Reserve-Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 201, issued in the field on 28 February 1917, certified by the handwritten signature of then-Generalleutnant Hermann Otto von Runckel, measuring 21.5 cm (w) x 16.5 cm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
3. An award document for the Black Grade Wound Badge, constructed of off-white paper stock with multi-coloured ink, issued in the field on 10 June 1918, issued in the field on 10 June 1918 for a single wound, certified by the handwritten signature of an unidentified Oberstleutnant, measuring 17.5 cm (w) x 13 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.
4. An Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918 for Combatants, constructed of off-white paper with black ink, dated 19 February 1935 and issued to Hüttmann as a resident of Hamburg, measuring 20.5 cm (w) x 10.5 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.
5. A wartime prisoner of war (POW) postcard, constructed of off-white card stock with multi-coloured ink, addressed to “OTTO HÜTTMANN” of Hamburg, the reverse indicating that Ernst is a POW in a British camp as per information released from London on 31 August 1918 and transmitted by the Hamburg branch of the Red Cross, measuring 14 cm (w) x 9.5 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.
6. A pair of postwar military service paperwork, including a leave pass, constructed of off-white paper with multi-coloured ink, dated 29 October 1919, measuring 21 cm (w) x 25 cm (h), demonstrating moderate material fatigue, in very fine condition, and; a military service record, constructed of off-white paper with black ink, featuring a comprehensive account of Hüttmann’s wartime service between 9 October 1914 and 30 July 1918, indicating that he was taken prisoner by the British on 8 August 1918 and released from military service on 29 October 1919, measuring 21 cm (w) x 33 cm (h), in better than very fine condition.
7. A mixed lot of six university documents to Hüttmann, in overall very fine condition.
