Yugoslavia (Kingdom); Black and white, gloss finish, obverse illustrating four Royal Yugoslav Air Force pilots standing in front of a propeller driven plane, each of the pilots wearing a Yugoslav pilot's badge, the two pilots at the far left also wearing a Czech pilot's badge, the pilot second from the right also wearing a Romanian pilot's badge, the pilot at the far right with no additional badges, the photo measuring 179 mm (w) x 129 mm (h), paper stamped with the "Agfa Lupex" production insignias on the reverse, a small piece at the upper right missing but not affecting the image, with scattered creasing, very fine.
Footnote: The Royal Yugoslav Air Force was formed in 1918 in the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes (renamed the Kingdom of Yugoslavia in 1929) and existed until Yugoslavia's surrender to the Axis powers in 1941, following the Invasion of Yugoslavia during the Second World War.
