Description

(Orden narodne armije). Instituted in 1952, discontinued in 1991. Multi-piece construction, insignia in silvered and gilt bronze with white enamels, mounted to a five-pointed silver star base with multiple emanating rays, measuring 68 mm (w) x 65 mm (h), vertical pinback, intact enamels, semi-dark patina, extremely fine.

Footnote: The Order of the People's Army was instituted on January 1, 1952 and discontinued in 1991. It was awarded for services to the Armed Forces, and for successful peacetime command, in three grades: Order of the People's Army with Laurel Wreath (I Class), Order of the People's Army with Gold Star (II Class) and Order of the People's Army with Silver Star (III Class).
