A presentation mounted medal bar, cardboard reverse, measures 95mm (w) x 100 mm (h - to base of star),consisting of three awards:
- A 1939-1945 Star, bronze gilt, full size, reverse privately engraved 1816916 W. F. THORNEYWORK (R.A.F), minor contact, remains in very fine condition.
- An Aircrew Europe Star with FRANCE AND GERMANY clasp, bronze gilt, reverse privately engraved 1816916 W.F. THORNEYWORK (R.A.F), minor contact, lovely patina, remains in very fine condition.
- War Medal, in nickel, full size, rim privately engraved 1816916 W.F. THORNEYWORK (R.A.F.), light contact, remains in very fine condition.
Accompanied by the original cardboard box and paper addressed to Thorneywork from the Air Ministry, London. Measures 85mm (w) x 60 mm (h) x 20 mm (d), light wear, integrity intact, remains in very fine condition.
