Slovakia, I Republic. A Pair Of Trench Art Brass Shell Cases 1943

A pair of Second World War Slovakian trench art brass shell cases, including a small celibre shell, the outside featuring a raised Slovakian coat of arms above crossed swords, with the opposite side bearing a central etched date of “1943”, topped by a steel helmet and above initials “VD”, measuring 34 mm (w) x 152 mm (h), with minor oxidation evident to the exterior, in overall near extremely fine condition, and; a large calibre shell, the exterior bearing a raised Slovakian coat of arms, flanked by a soldier in a Hlinka-style uniform on one side and by a sword overlaid by a steel helmet on the opposite side, the base stamped with calibre information, measuring 57 mm (w) x 115 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
