Slovakia, I Republic. A Pair Of Russian Front Trench Art Brass Shell Cases

A pair of Slovakian trench art brass shell cases, including an Eastern Front commemorative shell, the exterior bearing an etched inscription of “PAMIATKU RUSKA” (“MEMENTO OF RUSSIA”), topped by a Slovak cross, above an etched tank, and flanked by floral designs, the base with a stamped inscription indicating that the shell was harvested from a Czechoslovakian 3.7 cm anti-tank gun, measuring 47 mm (w) x 216 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition, and; a second commemorative shell, the exterior bearing hand-etched linden leaves and branches with a date of “1942”, with an illegible inscription, the base with a stamped inscription indicating that the shell was harvested from a Czechoslovakian 3.7 cm anti-tank gun, measuring 48 mm (w) x 224 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
