(Orden Svetog Save). Instituted in 1883. Type II (1903-1922). In silver gilt, a white and blue enamelled Maltese Cross with ball finials, double headed crowned eagles with the Serbian coat of arms in the center surrounded by the inscription троvломb сконмb вbса прнобрвте, the obverse medallion features St. Sava in a red robe, the reverse presents the superimposed year 1883, surmounted by a large crown, measures 50.2mm (w) x 87.5mm (h), weighs 45.6 grams, marked on ring with A denoting Vienna manufacture, and Diana head for silver fineness, enamel wear on the reverse 3 and 6 o’clock arms, otherwise enamels intact and in near extremely fine condition.
The Star of the Order, a silver eight-point star with clusters of faceted rays, the obverse medallion in silver gilt features a white and blue enamelled Maltese Cross with ball finials, double headed crowned eagles with the Serbian coat of arms in the center surrounded by the inscription троvломb сконмb вbса прнобрвте, the obverse medallion features St. Sava in a red robe, the reverse presents a single pin assembly and four rivets securing the obverse medallion, the tip of each central ray is reinforced, marked G.A SCHEID WIEN GAS, double stamped A denoting Vienna manufacture, measures 91.5mm (w) x 98.3mm (h), weighs 97.2 grams, enamels intact, hinge and catch functional, in extremely fine condition.
Accompanied by a very poor, tattered sash of the order.
