A medalbar with five decorations, reverse bearing a horizontal pin, measures 155 mm (w), comprising:
Two Medals for Battle Merit. (За боевые заслуги). Instituted on October 17th, 1938. Variant II, constructed of silver, the obverse bearing a central raised inscription of “ЗА БОЕВЫЕ ЗАСЛУГА” (“FOR BATTLE MERIT”), situated above a crossed rifle and sword, and topped by red enameled initials “СССР” (“USSR”), the first is numbered 591692, second unmarked, measuring 32.2 mm in diameter, each bearing light wear and a lovely patina, each very fine.
A Partisan Medal, I Class. Instituted February 2 1943. A circular silver medal suspended from a pentagonal soviet style ribbon, unmarked, measures 32mm in diameter, light wear, very fine.
A Stalingrad Campaign Medal. Instituted December 22nd, 1942. A circular gilded bronze medal suspended from a pentagonal Soviet-style ribbon, unmarked, measuring 32.2 mm in diameter, very fine.
A Medal for the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945. (За победу над Германией в Великой Отечественной войне 1941—1945). Instituted May 9th, 1945. Constructed of brass with a raised rim, the obverse depicting the left-facing profile of Joseph Stalin, inscribed “НАШЕ ДЕЛО ПРАВОЕ” (Our Cause is Righteous) and “МЫ ПОБЕДИЛИ” (We are Victorious), the reverse is inscribed “ЗА ПОБЕДУ НАД ГЕРМАНИЕЙ” (Victory over Germany), and “В ВЕЛИКОЙ ОТЕЧЕСТВЕННОЙ ВОЙНЕ 1941—1945” (In the Great Patriotic War of 1941-45), unmarked, measuring 32.2 mm in diameter, very fine.
