(Wehrmacht Auszeichnungen und Insignien). A mixed lot of 13 Wehrmacht decorations and insignia, consisting of:
1. A Black Grade Wound Badge, constructed of blackened magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, around a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “88” for Werner Redo, Saarlautern, measuring 36.98 mm (w) x 44.53 mm (h), weighing 12.5 grams, in near mint condition.
2. A Silver Grade Wound Badge, constructed of silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, around a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a clip hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “30” for the Vienna Mint, measuring 36.32 mm (w) x 43.82 mm (h), weighing 33.5 grams, with loss of finish throughout, in very fine condition.
3. A ribbon featuring two decorations, including a 1939 Iron Cross and an Eastern Front Medal, set on a 30 mm-long magnetic metal bar with a green wool reverse liner and horizontal pinback, unmarked, in extremely fine condition.
4. A Heer EM/NCO’s overseas ca eagle, constructed of dark green rayon, the obverse bearing a machine-embroidered silver-grey Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, unmarked, measuring 85 mm (w) x 35 mm (h), in unissued and near mint condition.
5. A Luftwaffe EM/NCO’s cap eagle, constructed of aluminum, the reverse retaining one of two attachment prongs, unmarked, measuring 68 mm (w) x 40 mm (h), in very fine condition.
6. A Luftwaffe EM/NCO’s breast eagle, constructed of dark grey wool, the obverse bearing a machine-embroidered silver-grey Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, unmarked, measuring 95 mm (w) x 50 mm (h), in uniform-removed and near extremely fine condition.
7. A Land Customs Service visor cap eagle, constructed of silvered zink, unmarked, measuring 72 mm (w) x 30 mm (h), missing all three attachment prongs and with loss of finish throughout, in fair condition.
8. A Heer M44-style Officer’s breast eagle, constructed of dark green rayon, the obverse bearing a machine-embroidered silver aluminum wire Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, unmarked, measuring 100 mm (w) x 55 mm (h), in uniform-removed and near extremely fine condition.
9. A Heer Gefreiter’s sleeve insignia, constructed of dark green wool, the obverse bearing a silver aluminum wire tresse, unmarked, measuring 84 mm (w) x 75 mm (h), in uniform-removed and near extremely fine condition.
10. A matching set of Heer Flak/Artillery Enlisted personnel shoulder straps, each constructed of dark green wool with field-grey wool underlays and trimmed with red piping, the reverse of each featuring a hidden strap with a reinforced buttonhole, both unmarked and measuring 50 mm (w) x 95 mm (l), in extremely fine condition.
11. A matching set of Heer Flak/Artillery Hauptmann shoulder boards, each constructed of red wool with card stock cores, topped by four bands of silver aluminum wire piping, and pinned with two gilded bronze rank pips, the reverse of each featuring a hidden strap with a reinforced buttonhole, both unmarked and measuring 34 mm (w) x 112 mm (l), with moderate material fatigue and some bleeding of the wool dye into the wire visible, in very fine condition.
